My Experience with EmeraldLeaf
I am a newcomer to the CBD product scene, so I was very excited when EmeraldLeaf reached out to me for a collaboration. EmeraldLeaf is a company I am proud to partner with because they focus on creating strain-specific CBD oils with over 15 terpenes per strain. EmeraldLeaf products stand out from the typical full-spectrum oils that use artificial flavors, 5 or so botanically-derived terpenes, and ethanol (alcohol) extractions. I was able to sample three different specialized CBD oils; Sunset Sherbet for Balance, Grandaddy Purple for Body and Jack Herer for Mind. I was very impressed with the results. I am a health and wellness fanatic and absolutely plan to continue implementing EmeraldLeaf CBD oils into my daily routine.
There are a few components that set the EmeraldLeaf brand apart from other basic CBD oil companies. One huge factor is the high levels of terpenes and the ability to pick your strain! Although it may seem commonplace, most CBD oils are less than transparent on the strain you’re receiving - let alone the terpenes that are included. Terpenes are absolutely key in targeting different effects with CBD. Moreover, there are countless studies documenting the relationship between cannabinoids and terpenes. These studies cite the various effects people can expect with different ratios of terpenes in a reaction known as the Entourage Effect.
The data showing that terpenes are in fact responsible for the different effects you experience with various strains of cannabis/hemp is below.
Terpenes are fragrant oils produced naturally in the plant that ultimately give cannabis/hemp derived products unique flavors. The terpenes a plant produces depend on a variety of variables including the plant’s age, climate, fertilization levels, soil and weather. Interestingly enough, a plant’s terpenes are ultimately decided by genetic code.
EmeraldLeaf strictly uses C02 extraction and strain specific hemp-derived terpenes. This is an unbeatable combination because C02 extraction is much cleaner and better tasting than using ethanol extraction, which is often the cheaper route taken by other CBD companies. In addition, hemp derived terpenes have a fuller profile. Lab tests show that EmeraldLeaf products boast 15+ terpenes while other companies only show 5-6.
EmeraldLeaf also utilizes MCT, or Medium Chain Triglyceride, as the base oil for CBD products. The best carrier for CBD oil by far is MCT, because CBD oil is fat soluble. Usually derived from coconut oil, MCT consists of approximately 90% saturated fat. Thus, the body is better able to absorb and utilize the CBD properties when carried by this oil. Hemp Seed Oil is another popular carrier used by other CBD companies, but it is not nearly as effective. Hemp Seed Oil is comprised of only 11% saturated fat, leading to a decrease in CBD absorption.
I really enjoyed all three of EmeraldLeaf’s CBD products but my favorite was Sunset Sherbert. This is a great combination for individuals who are looking to feel both positive and energized. Grandaddy Purple is a specialized blend containing high levels of the terpene, Myrcene. This CBD oil is recommended for sleep and rest. A dose of Grandaddy Purple was a fabulous way for me to unwind at the end of a stressful day! Last but certainly not least, Jack Herer is formulated for day-time use and helps combat anxiety. This blend has a high terpinolene content and really helped me feel energized and motivated to start my day.
I highly recommend trying EmeraldLeaf's CBD oils for strain-specific relief. Visit https://getemeraldleaf.com/ for additional brand information and product details.
