My Experience Using the Dr. Jart Cryo Rubber Mask with Firming Collagen

Obviously by now, you all know that I am a bit skin-care obsessed. I have made it my personal mission to share affordable yet effective products that are absolute must-haves for an enviable and youthful complexion.

As the weather changes, I have committed to incorporating face masks that encourage glowing skin into my weekly regimen. I love the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay for skin clarity (see my product review here!) but I wanted to focus additionally on complexion brightening and skin plumpness. After scouring the internet for product reviews, I finally focused in on the Dr. Jart line. Dr. Jart masks received mostly raving reviews online, with users of all ages reiterating that the $14 Korean rubber masks were an absolute God-send; I had to see for myself! Four main mask variations are currently available including Moisturizing Hyaluronic Acid, Brightening Vitamin C, Soothing Allantoin and Firming Collagen.

I decided to try out the Firming Collagen mask first, mostly because the packaging (and mask itself) is pink! The packaging is definitely slightly… intimidating to say the least. The mask seems like it could be difficult to apply (and is that supposed to be a baby?);

However, directions are surprisingly very straightforward and application is simple. You first apply a firming ampule (basically a scentless serum) over your face evenly. Then, the two piece mask can be applied for approximately 40 minutes. The mask itself felt cool and refreshing. While it was a little tricky to keep the two-piece mask completely in place while sitting upright, overall the process was seamless. Next time though, I will apply the mask and then lay down and relax to avoid any slippage!

After I removed the two-piece mask, my face felt smooth and extremely hydrated. I definitely could see an improvement in skin firmness and overall texture immediately and even more so when I woke up the next morning. A handful of users online expressed that they dealt with a few breakouts after using this intense hydrating mask, but that was not my experience- instead, my skin felt baby-soft and looked radiant!

Overall, I would recommend this mask to users looking to incorporate anti-aging elements into their skincare routine and amp up a lackluster complexion!
